Infrastructure Development : Need of the hour

India has seen immense development in the past few years and has a long way to go. Liberalization and modernization have made the nation developed in a number of ways, India was a lot different than what it is in now. The nation has come a long way and there is definitely a longer road ahead. There are a number of foreign brands and names that have come in and have invested in Indian companies; this has also led to greater development.

The way people lead their lives has also changed with all the development. People have adopted western cultures and lifestyles with the advent of the foreign names and brands. If I notice more precisely, the area where India needs a lot more development is the area of infrastructure, though the buildings and the kind of infrastructure India has earlier has now changed, but it is quite evident that it needs a lot more advancement and development.

There is scope for greater development

I have noticed that India and China have often been compared on the same plane as both these countries are extremely high in population and are also large countries. But the major difference between both the nations is that china is a lot more developed and well built in terms of infrastructure than what India is. China has used their high populations as an asset and has developed itself; the infrastructure and the properties that are being built in China are commendable. India, on the other hand, has a greater space of land and resources than china, still India lags behind most of the countries when it comes to infrastructure.  Now, under infrastructure, one needs to consider the construction of various infrastructures like the airports as they are the first sort of infrastructure all the foreign guests see and judge the country. Others are modes of transportation, malls, and security etc.,

India is very rich in resources and thus, they must make good use of their intellectual and financial resources to be able to build a good infrastructure in the country, all these problems can be solved if proper planning and the investment takes place in the country, proper planning can lead the nation to new heights, a few years down the line, I can totally imagine the country with a great infrastructure that only adds to the beauty and pride of my beautiful country India.

Dr. APJ Kalam’s contribution to Science

I have seen that Dr. kalam was not only a very convincing and successful President, but was also very efficient with his work and career, he was indeed a great scientist and has contributed immensely to the field of science. The contributions are many but to note some of them, I must talk about his contribution to the Indian army, he designed a helicopter, alter he shifted to the ISRO, he was the project director for India’s first ever satellite Launch; the satellite was deployed successfully in the year of 1980. It was one of the turning points in his life when he joined the ISRO, he did a great job there and contributed immensely and continuously to the field of science, him being a scientist has indirectly helped the nation as he was working for the government of India.

Thus, it can be concluded that Dr. APJ Abdul kalam was one of the greatest scientist in the history of India. His contribution as a president needs no explanation.

He was one of the most influential presidents that the country has ever seen. He was a very inspirational personality and his sudden demise has left the entire nation in a state of shock. He was called the ‘people’s president’ during his tenure. Not only was Dr. Kalam, the president of India, he was also an extremely good engineer and scientist, he has made many contributions in the field of the science and has given people a lot of binding information.

Dr. Kalam’s Struggles

One can never taste success without going through struggles and failures, all these experiences are what leads a man to success, Dr. Kalam, also had to go through a period of struggle before he became a successful person. He was educated under physics and aeronautical engineering and later on becoming a scientist and worked with the ISRO for a period of 40 years.

He had to face a long period of hard work and struggle as he was born in a poor family and he had to run small errands to get additional income. Initially, Dr. Kalam was not a very bright student but was always recognized as a smart and capable child, he went on to prove the fact. He became a very successful scientist and was also working for India’s civilian space program and was also famous as the ‘Missile Man of India’.

Women stand equal to men today

There has been a significant change in how the society looks at a woman; the old and stereotypical mindsets of people seem to have been changing for the positive. Gone are those days when a woman was considered just a member in the family who would cook for the family members and look after the household chores, today women stand as educated and qualified as men and they hold the dignity to go out and earn bread for the family.

They are as skilled or maybe more than what men are, women hold the exact same strength and courage to be able to take up the work and career pressure, not only have they grown career wise, they have also taken a leap towards being brave and doing something worthwhile for their families and surroundings. Women have been working in all sectors possible. I have noticed women police officials, IPS officers. There has been a major empowerment of women in our country, though the entire process took a little longer than it should have, I am extremely proud that our nation is truly developing.

What the government in support of women empowerment has done?

The government of India has a major role to play in women empowerment; the government body has been implementing various laws and actions that support the women. Let us look at some of them:

The constitution of India has given equal rights to both the gender, hence, 1/3 of the parliament seats are reserved for women candidates. This is considered to be the boldest step that has been taken to reserve the rights for women; all other rights and amendments are based on this big decision.

Another initiative under the name of STEP (support to training and employment program for women) this step was taken in order to prepare the women for the jobs and career prospects; they would perform a better job if they up such training programs.

The government has also taken steps to form self help groups for women, these kind of initiatives make a group of women to come together and make out some business opportunity that is based on their common interests.

What the government has done and has been doing for the women of the nation is countless; they have a major contribution in the development of the country and of course in empowerment of the women in the society and the country.

There has been a major impact of all these laws and implementations. They have made men in our country to understand the real importance of women. Men have been giving the females all the attention and required importance to them. There have been great changes amongst the thinking and the perceptions of
the people towards the females. Times have seen great changes and I can definitely look forward to more changes in the future. India has a lot to look forward to. Everybody must take pride in our nation and should always look forward to more and more changes in the future that only add on to the nation’s pride and galore.

Development has made our country smarter

We have seen changes in the way our nation has been adapting change and has developed in a number of ways. Years have bought about significant changes in the infrastructure and other facets of developments. There has been great development as we can see foreign companies setting up their offices and branches in the cities of India, we have seen many foreign companies and investors that are interested in handling trading and other business deals with the Indian companies, India has not only grow in terms of business and economy, but we have also noted changes that are inclined towards the modern and western culture. People with time have undergone a change in state of mind and have happened to become more modern and straightforward towards their approach to things. We have also seen that the technological changes have made the cities smarter and much more efficient. People have learnt making good use of the technology to make their personal as well as professional lives much more comfortable and convenient.

The smart cities concept has been helpful further

Any city that is able to make good use of the technologies and other facilities to make the city much more efficient and capable is considered to be a smart city. The main motive of making every city smarter is to reduce the costs and increase the consumption of al the resources that are available. Smart cities are much more advanced both technologically and economically. India has also adopted the smart city concept and the prime minister has taken a major step of investing a huge amount of money toward making the cities of India smarter. The most important motive of making the cities smarter is so that the resources of the city and the country are used in the most efficient way. The main objective is to bring about a change and make the modern and urban living easier and comfortable.

The smart city concept is gaining popularity as more and more countries are actively taking interest to make their cities smarter. The concept of a smart city is a win-win situation both for the economy as well as the citizens, they get to live in a highly advanced city that offers them with a number of facilities that in turn make their lives comfortable and technologically advanced. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has a plan to make at least 100 cities of India turn in to smart cities, it is a long and well planned initiative as he wants the nation to slowly and steadily develop so that the nation’s financial, natural and intellectual resources are used to its fullest.  The plan is to convert the ‘India’ into ‘Digital India’ where the country turns completely digital and advances and stands equal to all the other developed nations in the world. All the developed countries have used these concepts and India must take proper actions in order to fulfill this ultimate mission. Once, our nation is categorized as smart and developed, most of our employment and economy related problems could be solved in no time.
